Seek Him alone

I’ve been reminded many times recently of the verses in Ezekiel 37 we were read on Sunday:

“He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, ‘Son of man, can these bones live?’

I said, ‘Sovereign Lord, you alone know’

Ezekiel 37:2-3

What a comfort and force for our prayer to know that God is a God who knows all things, and is able to do all things – immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20)!

So, my encouragement this week is to seek Him alone, afresh, for all you need, knowing that He knows exactly what that is! And then to be expectant that He will deliver. I’ve been so encouraged recently that God reveals Himself so powerfully during our private and congregational times of worship. Even whilst we worship, God gives us boldness, fresh revelation, comfort, and reassurance of His character, all through His Spirit. Let your worship be an expectant prayer, empowered by the knowledge that He alone knows.
