Weekly groups

Student group (Wednesdays at 7:00pm in church)

A midweek space to pause, connect, and grow. Every Wednesday night, students gather at St Nic’s to build real community, worship God, hear from His Word, ask questions, and be encouraged in our faith journeys. Whether you’re exploring faith or already following Jesus, this is a place to belong and go deeper together.

Globe Cafe (Mondays at 7:30pm in church)

A welcoming space for international students to feel at home, make friends from around the world, play games, enjoy free food and drinks, and discover more about British culture. Whether you’ve just arrived or have been here a while, Globe is the perfect place to relax and belong.

regular events

Student lunch

One of the highlights of student life at St Nic’s! Once a month after the Sunday service, students are invited into the homes of a church member for a proper home-cooked meal. It’s a great chance to eat delicious food, have meaningful conversations, and enjoy time together in a relaxed setting. A great opportunity to bring a friend and share the experience!

Student Central

Student Central Is our big Saturday morning gathering each term, like a mini student service! We come together for worship, prayer, a short devotional, and a talk from a guest speaker. There’s time to respond, reflect, and chat with other students, and we finish it all off with a big lunch together. It’s a great space to grow in faith and explore big topics that matter to students.

Student Socials

Twice a year, we throw a fun event just to bring everyone together to eat, laugh, and have a great time! Our Christmas party is a festive highlight, and in the summer, we switch things up with games, competitions, and outings like bowling. These socials are the perfect chance to hang out with friends, make new ones, and simply enjoy being together.

Men’s and Women’s Student Groups

These termly gatherings are a chance to step away from the busy student life and dive deeper into faith, friendship, and real conversations. Stay tuned for opportunities to connect, grow, and be challenged in your walk with God alongside other men/women.

Students X Youth

Students X Youth is a space where undergraduate students and Year 13s come together to hang out, share great food, and learn from each other’s experiences and faith journeys. While we often see each other at church, this is a dedicated time to build deeper connections across generations and grow as one united community.

community

Home from home:

Want to experience the warmth of a local home during your time at uni? With Home from Home, you’ll be connected with a St Nic’s family to share food, friendship, and faith across generations. We believe that being part of a wider church family is a huge blessing while you’re away from home. If you’d like to be invited for a home-cooked meal once a term, fill out this form.

Communities (Various Days):

The heart of life at St Nic’s happens in our Communities mid-sized, multi-generational groups where we encourage one another to love God, love each other, and love the world around us. Meeting usually once a week, these groups share meals, read the Bible, serve together, and warmly welcome new people. Communities are a key place for students to find belonging, grow in faith, and build lasting friendships. We encourage every student to be part of one! There are multiple Communities across Nottingham meeting on various days throughout the week. Find a community here!

Get Stuck In

There are also plenty of opportunities to get to know others within the wider congregation at St Nic’s by serving on a Sunday, joining our football or netball team or by linking up with a mentor. For more details on any of these, send us an email.

Meet our Student minister

Stefany Godoy

Hey, I’m Stefany, but most people call me Steff! I’ve been part of St Nic’s for three years now, and it truly feels like my church family. Originally from Colombia, I graduated in Psychology and moved to England to do an internship with the student ministry and here I am!

I’m passionate about exercise, animals, good food, hanging out with friends, and learning new things. Most of all, I love walking alongside young people as they explore and grow in their faith.
