Gift Aid Form.

boost your giving by 25%!

As St Nic’s has charitable status, if you are eligible to gift aid we can claim 25p for every £1 you donate! That means every £100 you give is actually worth £125 to St Nic’s!

Gift Aid is reclaimed by St Nic’s from the tax you pay for the current tax year. You are eligible to gift aid if you have paid income tax or capital gains tax that covers the amount that we would claim.

So, for example, if you give £100 a month to St Nic’s, we could claim £300 a year from your donation in gift aid, so you’d need to pay £300 a year in income tax.

(You can check how much your income tax is on your pay slips or the government website)

Please notify the church office if you:

• want to cancel this declaration

• change your name or home address

• no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains tax.

 Notes

The church must be able to prove that the donation on which it is reclaiming tax came from you. This is most clear if the donation is made by standing order, online donations or cheque. If you wish to give using cash please make sure the gift is in an envelope and that your name is included. If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax releif in your Self-Assessment tax return or by asking HMRC to adjust your tax code. If you are unsure as to whether your donation qualifies for tax relief, please check with the office.
