Exploring Faith and Prayer with Luke

Exploring Faith and Prayer with Luke

Jesus’ disciples asked him for two things: “Lord, increase our faith” (Luke 17.5) and “Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11.1). I guess many of us would ask the same things. So, from January until Easter we will be studying Luke’s Gospel, looking particularly at the themes of faith and prayer. In conjunction with this sermon series, copies of Luke’s Gospel will be available for you to buy from the information desk (£2.50 or £2.00 for students and unwaged). This edition contains pages for taking notes during sermons and suggestions for sharing faith with others.

As we explore the theme of faith, Adrian and Jill Chatfield will be leading a series of services looking at Luke’s teaching on prayer. These (generally communion) services will have more space for prayer.
