St Nic’s Students
Welcome to St Nic’s!
We love students at St Nic’s and welcome students from both universities in Nottingham (or further afield!). Whether you consider yourself a Christian or not, you are so welcome to come, explore and be a part of both the churchwide family and community of students here. We know that university is a unique time of life – full of adventure and exciting opportunities, but not without challenge! We’d love to journey with you through it – cheering you on to live for Jesus wholeheartedly in the now, but also in the rest of your life to come.
We’d love to connect with you. If you’re coming to one of our Sunday services, look out for our Student Welcomers in clearly labelled T-shirts! We’d love to chat to you over coffee either before or after the service, hear your story and help you connect with church whilst at university (whether you end up settling here or elsewhere!). Alternatively, if you want to get in touch before coming on a Sunday, email Emily (our Student Minister) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Regular Rhythms for Students:
STUDENT HUB // a monthly gathering for students of all years with time to build community and seminar-style student-specific input.
STUDENT COMMUNITY // a network of small groups, led by students forstudents, meeting weekly for community, Bible study, discipling one another and reaching our friends together.
STUDENT PRAYER // a weekly prayer gathering for students to contend for the students in our city who don’t yet know Jesus; we share stories and pray for our friends.
STUDENT LUNCH // a twice-termly free meal for students after the 10.30 service – a St Nic’s classic!
STUDENT SOCIALS // we run socials from time to time that are intentionally set up for you to invite your friends along to.
We know that one of the joys of being in a church at university is meeting people at different stages in life and we encourage these relationships to form through drinks after the services, serving, linking you up with a Home from Home host or in finding you a mentor.
