SUNDAY EXPERIENCE @ St Nic’s Church
We meet every Sunday at 9am, 10.30am and 6.30pm. Each service last about an hour and a half with tea and coffee served afterwards. We invite you to stay behind to connect with our pastoral team and get to know people.
St Nic’s is located on Maid Marian Way, just along from the Salutation pub.
Our address is 79 Maid Marian Way, Nottingham. NG1 6AE (for sat nav direction, please enter NG1 7AP).
WHERE CAN I PARK?
We have arranged with Nottingham College to use their car park for all three services. The car park is accessed from Maid Marian Way (the postcode for the College is NG1 6AB). For directions to the car park, please use this map.
If you are coming from the west or south west of the city we recommend coming in via Castle Boulevard. From the north, east, or south east of the city we recommend coming via Canal Street.
COMING BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT?
Bus: As we are based in the city centre we are close to a large number of bus stops.
Tram: The nearest tram stop is New Market Square, St Nic’s is a five minute walk.
Train: St Nic’s is a five to ten minute walk from Nottingham Train Station.
Bike: We have bicycle stands available for your use outside of the church building.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN I ENTER THE CHURCH?
The entrance to the church is on Maid Marian Way. In the lobby, you will be greeted by a steward who will offer you a Bible and a sheet with the church’s news. You do not have to take either of these. When you enter the church itself, if you turn right you will find kitchen where drinks are served or if you were to turn to the left you will find information about the church and people who can help you.
WHAT DO WE OFFER CHILDREN AT ST NIC’S?
During the school terms we have a fantastic programme for the children at the children’s center. Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we worship (sing songs!) together. The leader will announce when the children are to leave for their respective groups. On your first time we ask you to go with your child so that they can be registered. Children can expect to have fun and to learn about God in a relevant way.
IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
No, be yourself and just wear something comfortable!
